IT Security & NIS2

Your cameras could be
your biggest vulnerability

Unsecured IP cameras are one of the most common attack vectors in corporate networks. We install surveillance systems that are cyber-secure from day one — with full NIS2 documentation.

6 security risks you may not know about

Most organisations focus on perimeter cameras — but forget that the cameras themselves can be the vulnerability.

IP cameras as attack vectors

Over 120,000 home cameras have been hacked globally. Unsecured IP cameras are the easiest entry point into your network — and most organisations don't know it.

Surveillance networks on the same segment

When cameras and business systems share a network, one compromised camera can expose your entire organisation's data.

Default passwords never changed

80% of IP cameras still use factory-set passwords. Hackers automatically scan for these devices around the clock.

Outdated firmware = open vulnerabilities

Known firmware vulnerabilities are actively exploited. DKCERT found an average of 8.4 vulnerabilities per vulnerable IP address in Denmark.

NIS2 Directive is now in force

From 1 July 2025, boards and management are personally liable for cybersecurity. Fines of up to €10 million for non-compliance.

Physical and digital security are linked

Intelligence services warn against cameras with backdoors. Surveillance equipment without a security audit is a national security risk.

Our approach

Cyber-secure by design

Every installation we deliver is configured according to current cybersecurity best practices. We don't just install cameras — we build secure infrastructure.

Cyber-secure installation
We configure all cameras with VLAN isolation, strong passwords, encrypted transmission and automatic firmware updates.
NIS2 documentation included
We deliver full technical documentation for NIS2 compliance: network topology, security configuration and risk assessment.
Network segmentation
Cameras are placed on a dedicated VLAN, isolated from business systems — a compromised camera cannot reach your data.
Encrypted data transmission
All camera feeds are encrypted with TLS 1.3. No unencrypted transmission, locally or to the cloud.
Approved equipment — no backdoors
We only use equipment that has been reviewed for known security vulnerabilities. We advise on intelligence service recommendations.
Ongoing security monitoring
Premium customers receive quarterly security reports with firmware status, vulnerability scans and recommended actions.

NIS2 — Are you compliant?

The NIS2 Directive came into force on 1 July 2025. Boards and management are personally liable for cybersecurity. Fines of up to €10 million for non-compliance. We deliver full NIS2 documentation with every installation.

Frequently asked questions

What is NIS2 and does it apply to us?
NIS2 is an EU directive that came into force on 1 July 2025. It applies to medium and large companies in critical sectors including energy, transport, healthcare, digital infrastructure and public administration. Management is personally liable for compliance.
Are our existing cameras a security risk?
Potentially yes. Cameras installed more than 3 years ago often lack modern security features. We offer a free security assessment of your existing installation.
What does a cyber-secure CCTV installation include?
VLAN isolation, strong unique passwords, TLS 1.3 encrypted transmission, automatic firmware updates, network monitoring and full NIS2 documentation.
How long does a security upgrade take?
A typical upgrade for 8–16 cameras takes 1–2 days. We minimise disruption and provide full documentation on the same day.
Do you supply NIS2 documentation for audits?
Yes. Every installation includes a complete NIS2 documentation package: network topology, security configuration, risk assessment and incident response procedures.
